During my projects I try to make clear to children that an artist has a very rich range of tools, not just the markers. I think that the only tool I have never used during all these years are the markers.
Creative Workshop is a place where one can learn and have fun at the same time, a place where we can share ideas and where we can realize great things. Sometimes you need to add more effort to complete the job you have begun, but it helps to educate persistence.
Each meeting is a part of a project that has a beginning, development and conclusion. Most of the times the conclusion is an exhibition of artworks, but often it is a show or a movie. Children have a sense of practicality that I like. If they feel that the work has a goal they will work selflessly, but if they feel that adults perceive their work as "quickly made-quickly forgotten" then they begin to treat it accordingly.
